I haven't read anywhere or have seen in the Imd credits that Lois Lowery has had anything to do with the movie version of The Giver. With the recent young adult books that have been made into movies, the author usually has somewhat of a role in the book's movie making decisions. Was this not the case in this movie adaptation?

Lois Lowry They consulted me throughout. I gave my opinion whenever they asked...which was often. Sometimes they took my advice, sometimes not.
