Kaisa I'd highly recommend it, at least to read all the Cincinnati books before this one, as they're all clearly linked and the bigger storyline carries on through all of them. It's easier to get into the story if you know what's happened before and who everyone is.
Jonetta There are characters in here with histories back to the first book of the overall Romantic Suspense series. This is #20 and #4 in the city series. Even the author recommends reading the books in published order. At a minimum, read the first three in the city (Cincinnati) series. Adam has a crucial role in the first book of the city series and there’s a continuing story arc from the third.

I love this series and highly recommend starting from the first book of the overall series but, at a minimum, at least the first in the city.
Kat So I had NO IDEA it was a series, I got the ebook from barnes & Nobles and it didn't say #4. At first it was VERY hard to keep track of all the characters but I made it through. At around 400 pages I decided to look something up, and that's how I stumbled upon this page and realized it was a series!!!

Bottom line, I recommend reading the first 3 books, but I didn't and I still enjoyed it. EVERYTHING is explained and it seems like the main characters are newly introduced.
