Miranda Kenneally I get inspiration from all over the place. One of the first things I do when I come up with a book idea is to go around and ask people for their first thoughts on the subject. For instance, when I was writing a book about football, I asked friends and family the first thing that came to mind when I said the word "football." Sometimes I would use their ideas and memories in my book. I also read magazines, look at pictures, and watch TV to get inspiration. In order to learn how to write, I spent a lot of time reading YA books in general. This helped me learn what I like and what I don't like, and how to write plot arcs. Thank you for the question!
