A Goodreads user asked this question about The Last Mrs. Parrish (Mrs. Parrish, #1):
I read a review which said there were many pages of detailed descriptions of physical, psychological and sexual abuse that there should have has trigger warnings. Is that true? How is that entertaining to read?

Not just because there *was* marital rape, emotional abuse, emotional abuse of a child, gaslighting, etc. That would have been enough, but the author(s) took it to an insane and almost unbelievable level. It was so dramatized that it was not believable. Which angered me, because that means they sensationalized such a terrible thing for "entertainment value." Which is sh*tty in my opinion. So yeah....not a good reaction to this book and I'll not be reading anything else by these authors. (less)
