A Goodreads user asked this question about The Last Mrs. Parrish (Mrs. Parrish, #1):
I read a review which said there were many pages of detailed descriptions of physical, psychological and sexual abuse that there should have has trigger warnings. Is that true? How is that entertaining to read?
Leanne Yes, there is in the book and it definitely wasn't entertaining to read. I think I remember the review you mentioned and I think it's a really good idea to have this in reviews and possibly somewhere on the back cover or as a front note. I don't think there is anything in the description to indicate that there is abuse in the book until you get to it. Personally, I skimmed over those parts. It was a very dark book generally and I think the only hint is when reading about the authors who mentioned that through their own reading they like to write dark material.
