Sage Bear
Sage Bear asked Jenni Schaefer:

You've been such an inspiration to me since I read your books (my therapist suggested them to me!). I watched the live video you did with Crisis Text Line the other day. Amazing! I do have a question for you when the relapses and urges get way too strong and you feel reaching out to someone is impossible what do you do? I've been struggling badly the last two weeks. Kind of need encouragement!

Jenni Schaefer Hi Sage - Thank you for joining the Facebook Live as well as our Life Without Ed® book group. I love having you a part of it. In the group, Heidi answered a very similar question beautifully here in the "Help! I Need Encouragement ASAP" section. Link here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... (Sept 14 post). So, you might look at that list! Also, to answer your question in my perspective, I ultimately learned that I had to reach out to someone NO MATTER WHAT! Often, I didn't feel like reaching out to someone. That is when I needed to reach out most. Ed will always discourage reaching out. Much of recovery is about feeling uncomfortable. We sit in discomfort in order to feel comfortable in the end. Hope this helps! Don't quit. All in all, my answer (albeit difficult to do) is: reach out anyway. You got this.
