I just felt a tidal wave of sympathy for Moody, especially when it was revealed that his wonderful, thoughtful gift wasn't really cared about. Those underappreciated characters really get to me, you know? That made me loathe both Trip AND Pearl for a second there. But those chapters about the two beautifully, excitingly captured the rush of their romance. Too bad it had to be kept a secret - which I guess only intensified it??? anyways, i'm rambling now, so i'll stop. haha.(less)
