Marius Gabriel So sorry it took me nearly a year to answer you Tine, I am not on social media much these days. Apologies. The book I found most mysterious, even while I was writing it, was Gabon. It took a long time to write, and I found myself having to write and rewrite the same scenes dozens of times.

The easiest book to write was my latest, The Ocean Liner -- and the reason was that I spent a couple of years researching and thinking about the characters before I ever put pen to paper.

So, oddly, both books took the same effort and length of time. One took a lot of writing and the other a lot of thinking. I hope this helps!
