Marius Gabriel So sorry it took me nearly a year to answer you Tine, I am not on social media much these days. Apologies. The book I found most mysterious, even while I was writing it, was Gabon. It took a long time to write, and I found myself having to write and rewrite the same scenes dozens of times.

The easiest book to write was my latest, The Ocean Liner -- and the reason was that I spent a couple of years researching and thinking about the characters before I ever put pen to paper.

So, oddly, both books took the same effort and length of time. One took a lot of writing and the other a lot of thinking. I hope this helps!
Marius Gabriel Hello Peggy! So glad you liked my characters -- and I wish you every success with your own writing. As I'm sure you'll find, once you've allowed a character into your book, you are no longer writing them; they write themselves. They will do exactly what they want to do, say what they want to say, and find their own destinies. Just let them in!
Marius Gabriel Thank you so much, I really appreciate that, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the books! I'm hoping to have a third Redcliffe Sisters book ready in the not-too-distant future. But in the meantime, I've written a book set in Paris at the end of World War II, which centers around a famous French fashion designer! I wonder if you can guess who?
Marius Gabriel Hi Laura, and thank you so much for that kind message! The sequel, "Take Me to your Heart Again" is out now -- I hope you enjoy it!
