I read only one book by you and it was One True Loves and I was deeply troubled by the two characters dilemma that I was truly crying at how hard it was to follow the characters stories. Did you know who you were going to pick as her one true love? Or did you plan it that way? What was your story behind that book because it was really a heartbreaking romance but still you still had a good, soft ending.

Taylor Jenkins Reid I knew how the book would end before I started writing it. I felt like the story -- which was so high stakes and emotionally trying -- had to be written toward a particular ending in order to be satisfying. It is so impossible to know what any of us would do in that scenario so I had to make a specific story for Emma. It's not about what anyone should do but about what Emma did do.
