Goodreads asked Jane Nicolet:

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Jane Nicolet This summer has been great for finding and devouring really interesting reads. I've enjoyed Bivald's, The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend and George's The Little Paris Bookshop. I'm in the midst of following Gloria Steinem's fascinating journey in My Life on the Road and looking forward to the very personal and tender When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. Since I'm generally reading two (and sometimes three) books at a time, I try to keep it simpler by combining nonfiction and fiction. Right now I'm finishing Steinem's autobiographical work while also enjoying M.L. Stedman's The Light Between Oceans and one of Patricia Cornwell's iconic, dark mysteries called Dust. Since it's only June, the summer season is still new; with many more books to crack, the plan is to continue to whittle away at the teetering pile on my bedside table.
