I enjoyed the Air Awakens series and really loved The Alchemists of Loom (can't wait for #2). I was wondering what made you decide to start writing in the Adult genre for this series instead of YA like in Air Awakens?

I actually intended for THE ALCHEMISTS OF LOOM to be YA when I first sat down to write it. But, that's not the story that came out. It wasn't until my editor got their hands on it that we discussed that due to the voice and central conflict of the story, THE ALCHEMISTS OF LOOM wasn't a YA story, but Adult.
That being said, it is called a "YA Crossover" meaning that it'll appeal to an older YA audience.
I still love YA and I'm sure I'll return to it... it just all depends on the story that I end up writing.

Hi, it really helped that you explained how to pronounce Vhalla's name but I am also curious about Baldair. I was trying to find the etymology of this name in the internet but failed. I just wanted to say thank you for gracing us with your talent and skills. Far too often have I been urged to read books recommended by friends that are written haphazardly. The "authors" of these books make me want to bash my head against a wall. Thank you for re-establishing my faith in good authors worldwide. I love the series so far. I've read the Air Awaken series in 2 days and pre-ordered Water's Wrath. ?
