Goodreads asked Ian Thompson:

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Ian Thompson I'm going to try to read more indie books this year. The next one I have up is Fright Tales, a collection of short horror stories by Eddie Jose Morales. That looks to be good fun.
I'll also be returning to some of my old favorite authors, like Stephen King and Edgar Rice Burroughs (probably Beasts of Tarzan).
Recently I tried the first two spy novels in the Quiller Series by Adam Hall, and found these much more gripping than the Bond novels I've read, so I'll be reading The Striker Portfolio too.
Lastly, I've rediscovered some fun reads from my childhood - the Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks series (originally created by Steve Jackson & Ian Livingstone, beginning with The Warlock Of Firetop Mountain). They're great fun, if a little frustrating at times (and I'll confess, I do cheat sometimes - but, heck, I'm short of time!).
