Part way through book 2, I hope the series gets better? I'm about to quit where I am. Murphy is pissing me off right now. She is way to unstable and emotional to be a police Lieutenant. And don't get me started on Dresden. He's acting like a putz.

You can tell because some of them are inconsistent frankly infuriating. It starts to truly level out at book 3 & continues to get substantially better after that. I tend to tell people the first 2 books of this series should not be how you judge this series.(less)
