Goodreads asked Kathleen Glassburn:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Kathleen Glassburn Tenacity. Write, write, write. And, don't edit until you have a Discovery Draft (my name for the completed first draft that indicates to me what I have to say on a certain subject). Then, start the never ending process of re-writing. Each draft will become better. Somewhere along the line you have to say "enough" and start sending it out. If it doesn't get accepted re-write some more if the story means a lot to you.
