Hi Amor, I just finished A Gentleman in Moscow and all I can say is...I hardly know what to say except that I absolutely LOVED it. I was swept away and was right there at the hotel Metropol. The characters became my good friends and my best friend of course, was our good Count. I didn't want the book to end and will have to settle for reading it again. Well done and thank you. Are you glad you changed careers?

Amor Towles:
Halfway thru the book, I went back to your bio because I was certain that you had to have been raised in Russia, or at least spent a lot of time there. It made me feel like I could understand a little better how people can live under such tyranny and still love their country and be happy. Have you spent time in Russia, or did you get all that just by studying history books?
