I am working on a new YA novel entitled 'I am Two-Skin.' It's a completely different world to We Other, my first YA novel, but is just as magical, challenging and thrilling. I'm really excited by it and immersed in the characters and their interactions.
I'm three-quarters of the way into 'I am Two-Skin' but had to slow down a lot as last year was a difficult one with lots of family illness and complications. A lot of the plotting and twists and turns happened in my head, while I was away from my work. So I read a lot, jotted stuff down and filled up notebooks. I'm back on track now. As soon as the initial excitement of having We Other, published, dies down a little I'll get on and finish this new book.

I'm reading your Magic series with my 5 year old daughter and I would like to know if the books need to be read in a certain order (in total or within each animal group) or if they are standalone novels just with a reoccurring animal character? It's a pet peeve of mine to read books out of order if they in fact are written as such. Thanks!
