I'm reading your Magic series with my 5 year old daughter and I would like to know if the books need to be read in a certain order (in total or within each animal group) or if they are standalone novels just with a reoccurring animal character? It's a pet peeve of mine to read books out of order if they in fact are written as such. Thanks!

Sue Bentley Hi Nicole - all the Magic series Kitten, Puppy, Ponies and Bunny (and a couple of specials Magic Reindeer and Magic Puffin) can be read in any order. Each book in every animal group is a stand alone story and there's a short piece at the beginning of each book that sets the scene for whichever animal group you're reading from. So collect away! Hope you enjoy them all.
