Goodreads asked Jessica Day George:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Jessica Day George There are two kinds of writers' block: Something's wrong with you, something's wrong with the book. If something's wrong with you (you're physically sick, too tired, depressed) you need to do what it takes to fix you. If something's wrong with the book, put it aside for a few days or weeks. Work on something else. Try writing it from a different character's point of view.
