I don't currently have any plans to write prequels for the Greatcoats, primarily because I'm honestly not sure how one does a good job making a swashbuckling adventure prequel suspenseful when the reader already knows what happens to the character in the future. I know many authors do this well, but I'm not sure that I'm one of them.
As to seeing more of the day-to-day life of the Greatcoats and the drama that goes along with it, that is something I want to explore soon, but I can't reveal any more right now. Suffice it to say, keep an eye out as there could be an announcement in the coming months.

Finished Saint's Blood. I cannot wait to see what happens next. I definitely did not see The Blacksmith coming. Great stuff. I did have one question though. The types of dueling styles you described (Avertiere, etc), are those actual historical styles or just literary devices? I was on our High School fencing team long long ago so it piqued my interest and I couldn't find anything about them on the net
