David asked Kevin J. Anderson:

- In order to be a writer for the Star Wars "canon" were you given a "blueprint" or a legend to follow so that you could fit your books into the logical point of continuity?. Were there "workshops" or meetings of authors to help maintain this continuity? Is there an official "Canon" for writers out there somewhere that writers were given-- expanding along with the universe that the writers were creating?

Kevin J. Anderson I was one of the first SW writers, so we had the movies and some gaming reference guides. I had a lot of freedom, but later authors had more outlines and blueprints to work from.
