Joanne asked M.J. Evans:

I was wondering where you got the inspiration for the unicorns names (Lazari, Mastis, Schema, etc) in the Mist trilogy. Did they come from a certain language also do the name's have any special meaning? By the way I am loving the trilogy so far. I've already read the first two books and I'm planning on reading the third book soon.

M.J. Evans Dear Joanne,
The Lord of Celestia, Urijah, got his name from the word Hebrew Urim word which means "Light" and Jehovah which means "Lord." Thus, his name means to me, "Lord of the Light." He is the Jesus figure in the story. The other names do not have a special meaning. I just make up names by taking scrabble letters and moving them around until I get a name I like. I am so glad that you are loving the trilogy. When you finish, I think you will love my new series, The Centaur Chronicles. The first is titled: The Stone of Mercy.
