Laurell K. Hamilton:
Why isn't Anita jealous of Envy? Does Jean Claude sleep with Envy occasionally/rarely or is it sort of like scheduled like Anita's feedings?
Laurell K. Hamilton
Because she's happy that Jean-Claude has someone else in his life, since she has other men. Look up the word, compersion. Is Envy another love of his life? No, but it would be totally unfair if Anita was upset with Jean-Claude for one extra woman when she has so many men. Also, I, my husband, our girlfriend, and her husband, are polyamorous, so personally don't have a problem with sharing.

Hi Laurell, not a question, but a comment that may amuse you. I'm in the middle of re-reading Anita's story, and I had one of my lucid dreams last night, and woke 'knowing' that: "Jean-Claude's eyes are sultan blue" and thought - "What the heck color is that?" Darned if I ever remember you using that description, but apparently it's Pantone color 288C Not as dark as the midnight you use, but still pretty...

Love your work, all of it. Just finished rereading all of Anita’s books. After my second reading of the series I realized that I wanted more Jean-Claude. He is always being left behind. Most of his page time is much shorter than the other main characters. Even during major “battles” we don’t ever see him do much I am hoping he gets much more page time in the future and gets to show how bad ass he can be?

Hi Laurell, I am from Romania (Homeland of Dracula :)) ). Lots of fans here, too. My question is: will Anita have a baby someday? I know her life is not suitable for a baby, but I can totally see Nathaniel and Micah as wonderfull fathers and the thought of Jean Claude changing a nappy is hilarious (every time I imagine that I colapse in a fit of giggles). Thank you for answering our questions.
