Brian Freeman Thank you so much, Linda! I really appreciate the kind words. Yes, Rachel is a singularly despicable young woman, isn't she? But I have to confess, the bad characters are often the most fun to write. She wasn't based on any real person (thank heavens!), but I imagined someone with a difficult background who understood the power she could wield over men -- and who was soulless enough to pursue what she wanted without regard to the consequences. I don't like to write about super-heroes or super-villains...just real people who often take their behavior to extremes. And that's Rachel!
