Hello! I recently read your book The Forbidden Wish and loved it! I'm just wondering, what was your favorite scene to write and who was your favorite character?

Jessica Khoury My favorite scene to write was definitely Chapter 14, when Zahra’s teaching Aladdin the Dance of Fahradan! ;) And I must say Zahra is my favorite. I think after spending that much time in her head, I couldn’t help but love her. If I had to pick another character, I’d go with the Watchmaiden Ensi. She’s fun, bright, and a bit naughty (and, fun fact: loosely inspired by Ty Lee from ATLA!).

I really liked Origin. Being the rather dark themed reader and writer I am, I really liked the ending of chapter thirty six (and kind of hoped it'd stay on that path, but I still enjoyed the end :) ). Anyway, I read your Acknowledgments page and you said you changed the ending. I was just wondering how it originally played out. Was it drastically different or fairly similar?
