Goodreads asked Carrie Turansky:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Carrie Turansky Oh, I love that question! I write historical novels, and our family has some great mysteries in the past that would make terrific plots for novels. One mystery I'd love to solve, by way of a novel, would be the one about the wagon train that disappeared on its way to Oregon. My grandmother told me about this story. Apparently there was a long dry spell, and the leaders disagreed about the best route to find water. The wagon train split in half with my relatives taking the northern route. Those who took the southern route disappeared and never made it to Oregon. I write romance, so we'd have to have the hero go one way and the heroine go the other, and then find a way to solve the mystery and be reunited because I always give my readers a happy ending. . . that will take some more thought. Back to writing!
