By the time Beh's father enters the picture, Beh already knows her fate, and has accepted it. There is a conversation between Beh and her father about the dangers of time travel in general, and that taking more than one additional person back and forth was problematic. That also played into her reasons for staying. Beh knows Ehd would never survive in the modern world, and she couldn't leave him behind.
