Honestly, I avoided most of the problems by limiting the viewpoint to primarily just the two main characters in a very small area. I did do a lot of research on prehistory Pecs, Hungary area, mostly for edible flora and fauna of the time. I didn't have to research much in the way of culture and lifestyle, since it was just my own creation. Good luck to you! :)

Faerun. I'd become an adventurer and live with Drizzt Do'urden. lol

That's awesome! Yes, I'm originally from Oxford and attended both Talawanda and Miami University! Small world! :D

Homo savage, my own creation. :) He's basically Homo sapiens, but lacks Broca's area (the speech center of the brain). So glad you enjoyed it!

(view spoiler)[I have been waiting if somehing would be menioned but now I simply need to know (and I am not the only one) ... *Will there be a sequel to Specimen ?* There are questions unanswered and I think the readers (there is no nicer way to descibe it so I just say it flat out) ... would like to have a HEA after all their struggle and the way the book left things it just needs MORE ... please don't leave it like that.. (view spoiler)[There are definitely unanswered questions, and it was meant to be that way. If you think about it, it just loops around to the beginning again. In some ways, I consider this an HEA, since they get to fall in love all over again, in a continuous loop. Others do not agree. :) I loved the story personally, and the characters, but frankly, my audience didn't seem to appreciate the sci-fi aspect as much as I did. It simply didn't sell well enough to warrant a sequel. :( (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Was Beh given the option to return to her lifetime when Dad visited? I assumed that she was but chose to stay with Ehd and the life they were making in the past. Can you clear that up for me? My daughter read the book and believed that Beh was unable to return since Beh and Ehd’s skeletal remains were embedded in the limestone. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Well, there is a lot of theory going on here, but a conversation between Beh and her father (that's Ehd doesn't understand, of course) when he first arrives, reveals that he can only take one person with him. She needed to save Lah, so sent her. By the time her father returns, Beh chooses to stay with Ehd. This is detailed in Luffs, a novella from Beh's POV. :) (hide spoiler)]

I would love to have all my books available on audio, but I'm at the mercy of the producers. So far, it's just Transcendence, Surviving Raine, and Bastian's Storm. Glad you enjoyed it!

A book? A whole SERIES of books! The Evan Arden series consists of six books, starting with Otherwise Alone. He also appears in Bastian's Storm, the second book in the Surviving Raine series. He's one of my favorite characters of all times!

He's Homo savage. LOL! He's nearly identical to Homo sapiens, but lacks Brocca's area, so no capacity for language. I just made it up - artistic license. :)

(view spoiler)[Hello Shay,
I just read Transcendence and absolutely loved getting to read Ehd’s story. He has the most beautiful soul! I have many questions, but I think what I am most curious about is: why is Lah roughly the same age when Beh’s father returns her as she was when he took her? Does it have something to do with universe expansion theory and therefore time moves differently between past and present? Thank you!! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! Yes, Lah hasn't aged since in her timeline, it has only been a few days. Lots of time travel theory there! (hide spoiler)]

All of my books have a romance component. If you're looking for the "sweeter" stuff, try Win Some, Lose Some or Judging Books. Edgier books include Surviving Raine (alpha-jerk who's a survival expert), Deklan (mafia arranged marriage) or Alarm (for the dirty talk). With 40+ titles, you are bound to find something else you like!

(view spoiler)[Hi! I just want to thank you so very much for Transcendence, it is one of my top 5 favorite books of all time! My question is that even though I adored Ehd's POV I've always been curious as to what Beh said to her Father to convince him she was wanted to stay in the past with Ehd? Beh obviously loved Ehd at this point but how was her Father convinced she would be happy to stay in the past instead of going home? (hide spoiler)]

{SPOILERS!!!!}
By the time Beh's father enters the picture, Beh already knows her fate, and has accepted it. There is a conversation between Beh and her father about the dangers of time travel in general, and that taking more than one additional person back and forth was problematic. That also played into her reasons for staying. Beh knows Ehd would never survive in the modern world, and she couldn't leave him behind.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hi there, and thank you so much! :D
Being an Indie author has its challenges, but can also be very rewarding! I am definitely a bit of a control freak, so that played into my decision to do all this on my own, and it certainly allows me a lot more freedom in what I bring to readers. Hopefully, I'll be able to continue to do that for a long time!
Good luck to you!

Ehd had been on his own since he was a young teenager. He was also around 18-19 when he found Beh. They had their last child around age 30, and lived to be in the 50s.

My fabulous readers and being my own boss.

Force myself to write a certain number of words. That usually does the trick. Sometimes I'll sit in front of the television with a legal pad and a pen, just jotting down ideas that become scenes later.

The complete set will be available this summer!

I don't plan a follow up with these characters, but I also never say never. :) Glad you enjoyed them!

There was a group of people on social media talking about alpha males acting like cavemen. I wondered what an actual caveman would be like, and Ehd was born. :)
