Honestly, I avoided most of the problems by limiting the viewpoint to primarily just the two main characters in a very small area. I did do a lot of research on prehistory Pecs, Hungary area, mostly for edible flora and fauna of the time. I didn't have to research much in the way of culture and lifestyle, since it was just my own creation. Good luck to you! :)

OMG! I've finished Transcendance now and I'm still speechless. To say that you've touched me with your story is an understatement. I cried.. a lot... but there is one thing I can't get out of my mind. Her Dad's notes. Ehd was no Homo sapiens, since he couldnt speak (Broca's area), and no Neanderthaler from his description and the fact that you didn't state that he was one. Was he a hybrid of both species?

I LOVED Offside—and it made me a serious, mega-fan of yours. The way you write the male POV is unparallelled to any author I've read—in the best way! Needless to say, I've been dying to read like ALL of your other books (especially Transcendence and the Surviving Rain series!) but I am going through some tough times and can't afford them ... so I was wondering if there were any future sales or .99 cent books?
