I've learned so much about the country my grandfather came from and even though it's fiction, reading novels brings Scotland alive to me. What inspires you to focus on a certain area, time period, or particular people (e.g. Laird, governess)?

Glynnis Campbell I got my love of Scotland by marrying a man with Scottish roots. I prefer to write about people with real interests and unusual work rather than strictly lords and ladies. My heroes are huntsmen, golfers, sheriffs, and my heroines are spies, thieves, scientists.
