I grew up in this town. It’s a bizarre place. He didn’t have a good reputation. There were several scandals. Yet every election he was voted back in. The thing is once anyone is elected to any position in that town they are always re-elected. It was very common to have someone in office who barely did their job continue to get re-elected.

Funny how justice works overthere when an innocent man got served time and another evil man in power kept his title and never once got served for what he did. Well.. I guess he will be trialed on Judgement Day..

At the end of the movie, it said that he was re-elected 6 times AFTER Macmillian was exonerated!!

It blows my mind too, but I guess his constituents feel like he's doing a good job and are continuing to vote for him.
