How is it possible that Sheriff Thomas Tate-- who it seems was the person most responsible for the illegal and horrific treatment and imprisonment of Walter McMillian-- is still a sheriff? He's listed here: http://www.alabamasheriffs.com/mopages?id=41 Is Alabama still that corrupt?
