PinkPanthress Uncle Stevie all the way!!!

message 2: by Vita (new)

Vita I also voted Stephen King, I find most of his books are the kind I can read more than once.

Most of these writers as I cannot stand! If Douglas Adams had not been here I would not have been able to vote. Stephen King uses way too much pointless bad language and is prone to ramble.

message 4: by Brig (new)

Brig Martin's work, within A Song of Ice and Fire #1-4: A Game of Thrones/A Clash of Kings/A Storm of Swords/A Feast for Crows, is some of the greatest literary work of this generation.

message 5: by Sophie (new)

Sophie I feel bad to admit that I haven't read of these people's books.

And your problem with Sir Terry's works is......?

message 7: by Almira (new)

Almira well, working at the circulation desk at a library, these books frequently pass through my hands. I, too, have never read any of the listed authors, and have never had the desire to read any of them...... James Patterson has become the "dime a dozen" author, about every 2 weeks a new one appears with his name on the cover. If I were going to read one of the above authors it would probably be Terry Pratchett.

message 8: by Auntie Terror (new)

Auntie Terror I've chosen the living one, Neil Gaiman, for still being alive and publishing, as the other two equally love authors of this poll (Pratchett and Adams) are not likely to publish anymore. :-(
