Taylor Waters Hi,

How does one get their own book onto the list - or is that allowed? I'm fairly new here - a few months and have never seen - or do not recall seeing this poll before.

Taylor Waters

Ethan Holmes That's something I'd like to know as well Mr. Waters.

ElvenRaven Hi guys :) there's a folder in our group's home page where you can find the threads to nominate a book for additional reads, here's the link: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...

message 4: by Ethan (new)

Ethan Holmes Thank you most kindly Cin but the threads are frozen and no longer viable. Goodreads puzzles me and I don't puzzle easily.
Threads are old before they are old, a complete lack across the board of direction or instruction that is productive, and a lot of inane nonsense. Not necessarily this group or thread but a lot of it going on out there.

ElvenRaven The thread for December nominations closed earlier today, but check the folder to know when the nominations for January will be open. Lynn (our Additional Reads mod) usually starts a thread for nominations one or two months ahead of the month the book will actually be read and gives us a time frame to nominate before the poll. Hope I was helpful :)

message 7: by Cathie (new)

Cathie Hi Taylor and Ethan. Anyone can nominate a book in the nomination thread that Cin posted prior to the polls opening for that month. Lynn, is our Additional Reads Moderator and is very good at listing dates for nominating books for the month.

A reminder to all that self promotion of one's own books, blogs and any other written material is not allowed in this group. (It was one of the rules you agreed to when signing up to join this group; a reminder of our group rules can be found in the first thread on the main page).

message 8: by Taylor (new)

Taylor Waters Ok...thanks. I understand.

message 9: by ElvenRaven (new)

ElvenRaven Oh, I hadn't realized you probably meant to nominate your own book, as in, the book you wrote... I'm pretty sure that's against the group rules, but you can nominate anything else you'd like to read :)

I'm just wondering if Angels at the Table: A Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy Christmas Story is eligible for voting. It seems to be #7 in a series. ;)

Aw rubbish, this serves me right for doing all this late at night after having a few drinks!

message 17: by Alycia (new)

Alycia Sorry guys...I didn't even think of this being a part of a series since I think you can read them as stand alone titles.

message 18: by Savanes (new)

Savanes Lynn, you're a night owl! :)

Alycia, I just noticed because I went to the book's page. I guess we can see how it goes with the voting and decide at that point :)

message 19: by Diane (new)

Diane Don't beat yourself up Lynn... You do a wonderful job! Can the people who voted for that book change their vote? They may want to vote for a book that is eligible to win.
