A writing challenge? Will you be interested?
I'm toying with the idea of putting up some kind of 'writing lounge' for the group where maybe every two weeks a writing theme is chosen. Those who love to write can submit entries, and those who love to read can comment and maybe leave a "tip" to show their appreciation. (I'll explain the process more, if there is enough interest).

Not really a writer, but I'd love to read what other members will post.
I love to write so count me in.
I could care less. I'm will not participate anyway.
Horribly bad idea. Let's just stick to reading challenges.

I am a writer, not a reader. I have a book, Dusty Miller, on Amazon.com and Dusty Miller 2 will be on there in a couple of weeks. Book 3 is nearly done. Anyone wanting to read any of it are welcome. I have a few short stories, too. Why not do a proper writing competition, short story say 1500 words and a bit of a prize??? just a thought. Gary Weston

oh, come on, people. you have all started some promising novel, only to find out by page 99 it's a boring load of rubbish, right? then you thought, 'yeah, I can do better than this.' (It's what started me writing.) So, come on. give it a go. There's a story in all of us, right? Give it a go. Who knows what talent may be unleashed!!!!Gary
Not really a writer, but I went ahead and hit count me in anyway. I have a few ideas that I might try to set something to paper.
I am a truly a reader and a bit of a closet writer. I have an unfinished story on my laptop right now. I totally agree with Gary. There is definitely a writer in all of us. Since I'm a total competition junkie, I think a contest is a novel idea (pun intended). I'll give it a shot.
Well, for those who are shy about posting their writing, I will be giving them an option to post anonymously.
I cannot believe how blessed I have been since stumbling across Goodreads.com!!! Is there any way to donate to the site?Yes, I will definitely join the lounge.
Hi. I see we have peaked here. ok. now just an idea for a short story, but how about 'the letter box'? We have all experienced highs and lows in our lives; sometimes we have been scared to go to our letter boxes to see the next batch of bills we can't pay. Or are we expecting world changing news that could turn our lives upside down? 1500 words with a beginning, middle and end? Easy. and what a meaty topic. Just a thought. Gary
