As far as I knew a book that has been read before for this can´t be select once again. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was selected for 2014. Did the rules change?... Nevermind I found that when a book has been selected more than 3 years ago is ok :) so the rules did change a bit.

Did the rules change?"I think that's not the rule. You can't hold back the books read literally 6 years back! There are new people joining goodreads and this group every day. I think as long as it's not read within last 1-2 years it should be good. Mods can answer more on this.

Caro and Bibliophile, we indeed changed the rules a while back. It used to be that all books that had been read before as group reads were not eligible, and we changed it to books from the last three years.

We have so many new readers (like myself) joining the groups and even goodreads almost everyday. As most of the popular books already would have been read as a BR or GR at some point in the past, the new members would only be left with the recent releases and that defeats the purpose :)
Totally agree. To be honest it was not such a great rule after the group lasted more than 4 years :) In that case the only option will be the Buddy Reads. I did not comment on it thinking is bad, just that I remember reading these books in the past and having that rule... As you can see it has been a while since I participate on this last time...

I think maybe people got to eager to read the new book before next month hadn't even started, but I can't remember xD
