This is beyond scary. Even beyond horrible. I have had too many close calls with death caused by hypoglycemia myself. I would take my chances with witch doctors before submitting to that.

Thanks, La Tonya. Bad hypoglycemic reactions are just the normal course of events that I have dealt with for 60 years. By stabilizing blood glucose levels, diabetics can avoid the worst reactions. Most of the time, that is. Some are just unavoidable.
If Plath underwent those induced reactions, then that means they wanted her to go into coma to shock her system. Scary as hell, I think.
