I agree with Melanie: All of these picks look good. If
Ghost Stories of an Antiquary
ends up being selected, I probably won’t re-read the stories, but I might post. It’s not that I’m not a fan, but rather too much of one. I’ve read these stories about a zillion times, the last go-around just a couple of years ago when Latasha and I participated in a group read for some other group. And I not too long ago finished reading a two-volume graphic collection, in which different artists illustrated the different stories.

A graphic collection of James, sounds heavenly. I'll be listening them (again!) in the public domain if it's chosen.
Holy cow. When I saw that someone had nominated
Ghost Stories of an Antiquary
, I assumed that the outcome was pretty much a foregone conclusion, but, still, I didn’t expect the voting results to be quite this skewed. Of course, voting doesn’t end for another 12 or so hours, but I doubt we’re going to see a huge flurry of votes for one of the other nominees. ;)

Stephanie said (in part):
Heh, sorry. I didn't realize it would be like this.
Hey, absolutely nothing to apologize for.
This collection happens to be a particular favorite of mine, and I’m always a bit envious of those who are about to read it for the first time. Of course, I realize that James is not everyone’s cup of tea.

Well, I’m excited by the adamant praise. This will be our first month where a Run Off Poll is not necessary.

I'm ready for some ghost stories come September!

I’ve read it but I don’t mind one bit reading it again. I thought i had it but no, I have Casting the Runes.
Latasha, could you perhaps clarify? Are you saying you have a print or electronic copy of the M. R. James short story, “Casting the Runes” or the James collection edited by Michael Cox, Casting the Runes and Other Ghost Stories ? If the latter, that collection contains all of the stories found in Ghost Stories of an Antiquary .
