Titas Are Divergent and Maximum Ride representing Sci-Fi? Because I was expecting more hardcore likeFoundation or Dune or Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? :(
(no offence to the nominees but...)

OMG! I totally forgot to put Dune! It was on the list, but I forgot to add it!
I'll add it now. Thanks for getting it into my notice Titas :)

Konna I agree with Titas! I don't quiet understand the theme of this poll. Because most of the books are not sci-fi. I expected too some more typical books of this genre such as Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep or even the The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Anyway, from these options I'm going with the Prince of Thorns.

Hi Konstantina.
I know you guys wanted more of Sci-Fi options and I'm really sorry to not have included more hardcore Sci-Fi books but a lot of people seem to vote for genres and books but they don't end up reading them. Then the ones that participate are stuck with their choices!
I got 2-3 messages with this complain! And I felt that it was unfair to the people who whole-heartedly take part in the buddy-read.

But I promise! I'll definitely make up for it :)
I'll keep the month of January as Sci-Fi only (what better way to start the year of 2015.)

Please let me know what all books would you like to see in the polls for January (as I'll be starting it by 10th of December)

Thnaks alot Kim :)
Same here, even I need a push!
Lets read it together in December (even if it doesn't get selected on this poll. We can have a small read-along for this.)

message 6: by Vicii (new)

Vicii I would have chosen "Prince of Thorns" but as I just read it, I guess that's just a wasted vote!

message 7: by Natalie (new)

Natalie I wanted to reread The perks of being of wallflower in Christmas break, so I would be glad if it would be a Buddy-Read for next month, so we can all discus it.

message 8: by Andrew✌️ (new)

Andrew✌️ This is a good choice of books. Unfortunately, I read some of these books, and others doesn't interest me. So, this time I choose Duma Key, whatever happens I think I will read it.

I wish you wouldn't have read it! Anyways, as you've already read it then feel free to drop by our discussion bord for it and share your views! :)

Great idea! I'm anyways gonna read it this month, whether it get's selected as December'r read or not!
If it get's selected here then we'll be anyways reading it month long, but if not, then we can pick up a week and have a read along for POBAWF... what say ???

Thanks Andrew! I understand. I've been travelling for more than half of this month, so I wan't able to pick up books in a very precise way. This poll was a very hurried one, still I tried to add very different different books so that members who aren't comfortable with one genre can also take part!

This month I'll be keeping 4 books for buddy-read... Duma Key is one of them. Looking forward to having awesome discussions again!

Scifi for January sounds awesome! I do get what you were trying to do with this list for December - lots of books people have heard about/been turned into movies, but chances are they've just been sitting on their TBR for too long. What better way to catch them?

I kind of hope Prince of Thorns doesn't win (even though it looks like it will) since I really don't like depraved protagonists of the extreme that Jorg seems to be. Having said that, I'm only going off what I've read in the reviews section. So if it wins, yeah, I'll give it a go, but I'm not expecting to like it.

I second this!!! Maybe for January's options? Please?

Exactly! I bought The Fault In Our Stars and The Perks Of Being A Wall-Flower months ago and as I've noticed, I'm not the only one to have them on the shelf (endlessly waiting to be read!)
So lets read these before this year ends!

Hmmm... no worries dear (actually it's already a winner!) but hey, we are The Readers, just read Prince Of Thorns and get done with it. Then you'll know for sure whether you like it or not ;)
If you do then join us for sequels as well!
