I feel like I only chose Clary because I love Cassandra Clare's books...

Chisom Jude wrote: "I feel like I only chose Clary because I love Cassandra Clare's books..."

Lol I almost did the same thing, but I thought "If I had to be in any of these character's situations,(at least the ones I've read) then Katniss would be the bravest if not the most kickass" ^.^

message 3: by Barča (new)

Barča I love Richelle Mead´s books and I think Rose is realy strong person. Both physically and mentally.

message 4: by Molly (new)

Molly I think Celaena Sardothien from Throne of Glass is :)

Mattie Tris is pretty strong,in terms of mentally and emotionally. The others cry too much.

alittlelifeofmel Guys where is Celaena Sordothien from Throne of Glass?????

message 8: by Barča (new)

Barča Mel wrote: "Guys where is Celaena Sordothien from Throne of Glass?????"
She´s not in this poll, because there are just some heroines from book, which I read. And I didn´t read Throne of Glass, yet.

Totally!

Cheshire Cat [Heidi]~ We're All Mad Here ~ Why isn't there one of those add your own answer thingies on this? There are other people that I would have chosen that aren't on here.

message 14: by Keira (new)

Keira E.G How is Bella even considered a heroine? Also I think Celaena Sardothian should be on this list!!

message 15: by Barča (new)

Barča Because a lot of you wanted Celaena, I added her to this poll and it should be possiple to add your own answer.

message 16: by bean (new)

bean :) Psssh, I don't see Katniss (view spoiler) for her cause, but okay.

message 17: by Estefani (new)

Estefani Heroines in YA books are becoming weaker and weaker, and all of them have the same characteristics, there's no uniqueness.

No one beats Lisbeth Salander, though I don't know why she is listed with a bunch of YA characters, when she's from an adult series.

message 18: by Bree (new)

Bree There are some great choices in this pole. Sadly, I can't decide. I like many heroines.

message 19: by Teri (new)

Teri Why is Anita Blake not up there in her series by laurell k hamilton. Hot, strong, scars, lots of men and victory.

Jill Teri wrote: "Why is Anita Blake not up there in her series by laurell k hamilton. Hot, strong, scars, lots of men and victory."

She probably hasn't read it yet, plus, I don't think many people like Anita anymore. I am one of those people.

message 21: by Chisom (new)

Chisom Since I've finally read Throne of Glass and many of Maas's other novels, I would agree that Celeana is a complete bad-ass!

message 22: by Jagadeeshwari (new)

Jagadeeshwari Oh! I can't select a single one. It was all so confusing bcoz according to me , Celaena,Katniss,Susannah,Tris,Anna, etc were all strong in their on way. Finally, I crossed that impasse and selected Susannah Simon from mediator series. But now I wish I could have a second chance. But the silly thing is even if I were given a chance again, I'd still be confused

message 23: by Jill (last edited Dec 13, 2016 10:58AM) (new)

Jill Autumn wrote: "How should "strong" be defined? Mental or physical? Ability to survive and over come obstacles? Being brave? How well someone bounces back after something bad happens?"
"Strong" certainly shouldn't be just physical. It should refer to the girls who get scared, who not necessarily conquer their fears, but keep moving because they know they have to finish the job. I love reading heroines who are broken by their tragedies (like Danny Valentine) since its more realistic to see a heroine who isn't infallible. It's appealing to see someone broken but still moving.
Do people consider Bella strong because she tried to fight for her daughter when her family was threatened?

message 24: by Regina (new)

Regina I didn't vote for Katniss because by the end of the series, the games had gotten to her so much that she kind of just stopped functioning. I didn't see her as strong anymore, the games has physically, mentally and emotionally broken her.

I voted for Hermione because she carried on looking for the Horcruxes when Ron had broken up with her. She knew she had to keep going, and she did, through all 7 books.

message 25: by e (new)

e All these girls are bomb af, but I think Celaena/Aelin would win this one because let's be real here, she's the fire breathing bitch queen who slays us all :3

message 26: by Shay (new)

Shay I wonder how many people know who Joan of Arc is.

message 27: by Shay (new)

Shay ~☆~Autumn♥♥ wrote: "Shaylee*cheeky* wrote: "I wonder how many people know who Joan of Arc is."

I do and she was sure strong but also mentally ill. I do think she should be on this list. Did you add her?"

I don't remember if that was me.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Mattie wrote: "Tris is pretty strong,in terms of mentally and emotionally. The others cry too much."

Strong people cry too! Only sociopaths don't cry as they don't feel anything.

message 29: by Ella (new)

Ella Reitmeier My personal opinion is Inej Ghafa from Six of Crows but all these ladies are amazing!

message 30: by J (new)

J Celaena Sardothein all the way. She is literally the most sassy, independent, loyal and strong character I know. She is brave which can easily be shown in the quote, "my name is Celaena Sardothien and I will not be afraid," which is repeated throught out the series. I say tbis in knowing of most of the characters in this poll.

message 31: by Anna (new)

Anna Katniss what she went thrue and though she did somewhat breack she did it realisticaly

message 32: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Faustina But do you mean "strong" as in physical strength or "strong" as in perseverance or courage?

kennedy [mackenzie] Katniss and Tris!!!!

message 34: by Jayden (new)

Jayden Well, I have more than one answer. Katniss, Starr and a whole bunch of other people. Also, do you mean strong physically, or mentally?

message 35: by Piyush (new)

Piyush Did katniss have some "one punch man" level power I didn't know about🤔

message 36: by madison (new)

madison blake annabeth and alosa <3
