There’s not a lot of admiration or respect there.” He plucked a blade of grass and tossed it. “I don’t have many memories of her, and I don’t want to make new ones. Is that how you feel about your biological mom?” “Somewhat. Sylvie’s been in my life more than your mom has been in yours. But I definitely don’t feel toward her what daughters feel toward mothers who raised them.”
Just because God started you on one path didn’t mean He intended to keep you on that path all your life.
