The first, I go for a walk. Ever since I was a child my mother always use to tell me that all of life's inspiration is waiting for me outside. So when I'm blocked in my writing I walk it out and it always works! By the time I return home my thoughts have cleared and I can write.

And the second, I write morning pages in my journal. I find that if I write every day even if it's just a page or two in a journal, it keeps me practicing my craft and keeps the writer's block to a minimum.(less)
