Marc de Faoite was born in Dublin, spent fifteen years in Malaysia, and currently lives at the foot of the French Alps. His short stories and articles have been published both in print and online. Tropical Madness, a collection of his short stories, was longlisted for the 2014 Frank O’Connor International Short Story Prize. Lime Pickled and Other Stories was published in 2023.

1 - This book is not served well by its title. 2 - It takes a looooooooong time getting there, but the pay-off is definitely there. Who knows what makes a book really work. If a quarter of it's volume was chopped it might have made for a tighter read, ...more
