You are right about Forrest Gump the book. It was awful so I lowered my rating. I did like the movie probably due to the songs in it.

I'm really not a fan of the classics. I read them in school but never got into them. I think I read Pride & Prejudice in college.

I am so lucky as I never had to read them! In high school we read Heart of Darkness (horrible), Shakespeare which we read aloud in class most days (loved it), Beowulf, Chaucer and I think Jane Eyre. I never had to touch Jane Austen (good thing for me). In college Freshman English was mostly short stories and poetry plus creative writing. Then I took World Literature so I was so lucky to avoid her. Going out of town for a few days.
