As an adult with a disability and a couple of chronic illnesses interested in becoming a parent, I'm interested in how parents' illnesses and disabilities and issues affect the way they parent and on how they affect the kids.
This list is intended to include books by adults who develop disabilities and/or major or chronic illnesses either before become parents or while their children are children, as well as books written by people whose parents are disabled, that include something about how it affected them.

For the purposes of this list, alcoholism and drug addiction don't count as disabilities and ADHD, autism, and deafness count especially if they are presented as disabilities in the book.
