In case people don't notice, this is for the TV SHOW Supernatural, not just books on the Supernatural! Please only vote for books from the TV SHOW!
I love the SuperNatural TV series. I've read samples of a couple of the books. Can anyone tell me if the books are written copies of SPN episodes or if they are completely different adventures of the Winchester boys?

Actually, I read from the Supernatural Wikia that they aren't even considered official canon, so you can choose for yourself if it actually happened in the show.
love both the show and the books each book give a new adventure inbetween the tv shows and some times mentions something that happened on an episode so its wasy to follow can wait for the next book
A big chunk of my tax refund is going to buying these books. Have no idea where I'm going to put them all but ... :)
Laura wrote: "That's my problem all the time! So many books, but nowhere to go... But hey, it's worth it. :)"Yup :) Usually, I get on Kindle but I want physical copies of these to keep. Love my Winchester boys! :)
I don't have any type of e-reader; I loooove having physical copies of all my books. There are stacks off books in my room because I ran out of bookshelf space. But I love it!The ultimate question: who do you like better, Dean or Sam?

DEAN!!!!!!! Ironically, I have loved Jensen Ackles since Dark Angel and I started writing my Blood Revelation series before Supernatural came out. I based a character on Jensen Ackles, who at that point, I'd only seen in Dark Angel. In the book, he had short hair and dressed in T-shirts and jeans, said "Dude" alot and was a general smart-alec. He was also a slayer, very protective of his brother (in this case, his older brother). When Supernatural came out I was like "Holy crap! It's my character!" So yea, I'm a little attached to him. :)
I'm actually putting together a contest and will be giving away either a Kindle Fire, a Nook or an Amazon gift card. If you're on facebook, follow me at facebook.com/crystalrainloveauthor so you can join when it goes live!!! Everybody should have an ereader! Keeps you from getting buried under all your books. I still love larger books in print format but I love Kindle for the novellas :)
That's crazy! I will have to read it. =)I loved Jensen Ackles in Smallville, and I kinda wanted to watch Supernatural(at this point season five was airing) but my sister told me it was stupid so I didn't. But then a few years later I watched it anyway and I was like WHAT THE HECK THIS IS AWESOME!!! And I told her she was foolish and made her watch it and it turned out the episode she was was Route 666, which is like the lamest episode. But then watching Smallville again, Jason wasn't as awesome because Dean is soooo much better. But I have seen Dark Angel! I was so confused when he died at first, because I knew he was in a whole season. But then it made sense. :)
Eh, I don't like reading from any electronic. I don't even like audiobooks. I'm very old school. ;) BUT a my dad has a Kindle and I love it for everything except reading, lol. And I would love an Amazon gift card. :) I will check it out!
Laura wrote: "Oh, no! Your books don't have a series page! I will fix that right away. :)"Aw, thank you! I never even thought of a series page. Not sure I even know how to set those up. :)
YES!!! It's crazy how good of an actor he is. He does everything so perfectly! No problem. You have to be a librarian to fix it, and I love fixing things on here. It makes it all neat and tidy. :)
Thank you :) Yes, he is amazing. I would love to see him in a major mavie, something not horror. He can play anything. He'd be great in an action role, drama, or romantic comedy.
I'd rather watch him on Supernatural than a movie, though. That way there's more, and Dean is so epic.
Yep. Can't miss Jensen Ackles in 3D !!!!! He's great in everything. Devour was the worst movie ever, but he made it bearable. :) I just hate how he seems to be typecast. It is limiting. At least he did Ten Inch Hero, which was different. He was hilarious in that. :)
Love Supernatural.Sam and Dean as well but mostly Dean.BTW is there any way to delete books off the list...Twilight doesn't really belong here. But at least it has a supernatural element to it.Why people voted for "Miles to Go" by Miley Cyrus is beyond my comprehension.
Oh wow. Maybe as a not-so-funny joke? That is an odd selection. I don't see a way to delete. :( Maybe the list starter has that capability. Hopefully.
Goodreads should have a vote against thing as well.So when there are a lot of negative votes they can be taken of the list or something.
Thanks for bringing that up, Meghana! Librarians have the power to delete books from lists, which I am(also the list starter), so I will delete it. I've had a lot of problems with people adding random supernatural(genre) books so I've had to keep checking to delete, but I never saw a Miley Cyrus one here before. Blegh, a disgrace to Supernatural.I also combined The Essential Supernatural: On the Road with Sam and Dean Winchester, which is apparently the same book.
Winchester's wrote: "I love the SuperNatural TV series. I've read samples of a couple of the books. Can anyone tell me if the books are written copies of SPN episodes or if they are completely different adventures of t..."These books are different adventures the boys go on
No problem and thank you for deleting it. But I still don't get why people add Miley Cyrus thing in here. Like I said before Twilight is under supernatural genre. But Miles to Go? Seriously? LOL.
Trying to cut back on the non-Supernatural books on here, I made another list. It's Supernatural-related books. Hopefully this will stop people from voting on the wrong books here.http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/34...
can someone help me figure out in order the books number 12 through 28 what they are. names of books so i can get them to read thank you for any help offered.
Some people vote for books they know shouldn't be on the list - thanks for commenting, I'll remove it!
Ah, I was just wondering, it's on my to read list but if it had involved Supernatural I would have had to move it up the list lol
As I read everyone's comments I want to make sure I am clear on something. Am I correct in understanding that there are no hard copies? I don't mind reading on a reader but I don't have one. I have kids so I don't have room for one in my budget.I have seen Jarod and Jenson in everything they have ever done. I got hooked on Supernatural when I was pregnant and on bed rest. What an AWESOME show to be stuck with.

Here's a link for a paperback copy of Nevermore http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/super...
I think the main series are only paperback, but I know at least John Winchester's journal is in hardcover. I haven't even seen his journal in paperback. I'm not sure about the other specials, like Supernatural Book of Demons and stuff.
Uh, I hope not. But they never mention anything about these books, do they? I saw a couple of conventions and stuff on Youtube but they never mentioned anything about these books. So, we don't really know because they never talk about it.
Except for in 2008, there were at least two books published a year until 2013. So maybe they aren't selling good? I haven't heard anything official, though.
Really? The show has a huge fandom, at least according to Tumblr. So I have a hard time believing the books aren't selling well. But I'm sure a little more advertising wouldn't hurt. Because not many people even know about these books. I read only one of them so I don't know much but, it was excellent and the ratings of the other books are like the highest of all my shelves.
I'm guessing that's exactly it - people don't know about them. But I'm just guessing; I have no proof for it. Which book did you read? I've only read three, and I liked two of those.
You should read more of them, they provide great insight to some aspects of the Winchesters' personality. I have read seven of them, and except for one that was actually boring, the rest of them I found very entertaining. I really hope they publish more books because I intend to buy the ones I don't have...and I don't want to have no books to read! xD
No books to read? I don't think that will ever happen. xD Right now my to-read list is bigger than my read list. There are just so many that look interesting! Which book didn't you like?
What did you guys read and which ones didn't you like?I read The Supernatural Book of Monsters, Spirits, Demons and Ghouls. It didn't have one continuous story or anything but had little snippets of cases before their father went missing and quite a lot about the legends behind all of the monsters. It was pretty great and even had pictures and stuff. It was a little funny/witty sometimes as well, kinda like the show :)
