Christina Many of the books on this list are nonfiction, poetry, or short stories — not novels. For example, I'm Afraid of Men by Vivek Shraya is stunning, but it's not a novel.

And for some of these authors, I can't find any indication that they are transgender or nonbinary, though their work may feature queer characters, or the authors themselves may be queer or have identities that are marginalized in other ways: John Irving (potentially bisexual?) and Alyssa Cole, for example.

Littlebookterror I have deleted the nonfiction titles and added a whole bunch of nonbinary authors.
