Josephine Lamont writes emotionally charged, twist-filled love stories that blur the line between survival and surrender. Known for The Dissenter Saga—a dystopian romance trilogy pulsing with rebellion, heartbreak, and impossible choices—her stories are crafted for readers who crave depth, danger, and slow-burn devotion.

Drawing from her background as a Marriage & Family Therapist, Josephine creates heroines who bleed, heroes who smolder, and worlds that test the limits of faith, love, and human resilience. Her writing has been described as “poetic yet binge-worthy,” delivering the intensity of Victoria Aveyard with the emotional grit of Tahereh Mafi.

When she’s not plotting emotional chaos or building morally gray worlds, you’ll find her cam

I think the greatest mystery in my own life was the mystery of this house, who haunted it, and why?

My mom saw the same full-body apparition of a young child on at least 3 different occasions while living in the house. I witnessed a black shadow walk past my bedroom door (that was some seriously scary crap), and my older sister watched as the kitchen faucet turned on and off, followed by the footsteps of bare feet running back and forth across the kitchen tile.

My dad, who swore he never believed in ghosts, heard bars of soap falling in the shower, as well as the glass shower door slam shut, only to discover nothing was amiss.

But I think the biggest #mystery of this haunted place when I was in high school. I had stayed up late doing what I usually did (reading), until I decided it was late enough and time to call it a night.

I turned off my light and turned to my side when I heard the front door to our house slam closed! This was the middle of the freaking night! I was the only one awake.

I remember the adrenaline coursing through me, and the utter fear that someone was in our house. My door was open and my room was across the hall from my parents' room. I remember looking to see if they were going to get up and investigate, but nothing happened.

Scared out of my living mind, I decided to get up, tip-toe across the hall, and go into my parents' room. As I entered, they both looked asleep in their beds until my dad leapt out and almost tackled me to the floor.

When he realized it was me, he asked me what was wrong, and I told him what I heard downstairs. That's when my mom told him he better check it out since they both were woken by the same sound.

He did go down there, checked all the doors and windows and found everything closed and locked. Nothing was amiss.

We never knew what it was, but we all agreed that the bang was from the front door slamming closed.

But how does a closed, locked door slam shut with no one around to open it? 😬👻(less)

“Fear is not weakness. It reminds us that we are humans- with limitations. We are not gods. But, instead of hiding our fear, what if we faced it? For in facing what makes us afraid, we become stronger.”

“You ever put your arms out and spin really, really fast ?
Well, that's what loves like. It makes your heart race. It turns the world upside down. But if you're not careful, if you don't keep your eyes on something still, you can lose your balance. You can't see what's happening to the people around you. You can't see your about to fall.”
