This was a surprise for me this year. Lori Gottlieb writes so well about her life as a therapist and her experience seeing a therapist that I took so much from her book for my life. It was such a stand out and I wish she would write more!

Maybe You Should Talk to Someone is the book you didn’t know you needed to read about a therapist in therapy.

First of all, I saw a couple of reviews bagging on the author, Lori Gottlieb, for breaking patient confidentiality. She clearly says at the outset that she changed details and combined several patients into one composite for each character in this book. I think it’s

4.5 stars. I enjoyed this memoir-style look at the author, a therapist, as she seeks help from another therapist after her long-time boyfriend leaves her. Many excellent ideas and I almost feel like I've gone to therapy myself after reading this. Highly recommended. ...more
