What Members Thought
The novel was pretty good, but it read a little slow only because I had already watched the first season on DVD. I liked the series, so I was interested in reading the novel and was a little surprised that the novel and the show were almost identical, I mean right down to the dialogue. I did not finish this book. This is not something I do lightly.
Game of Thrones is an incredibly well written book, even from the few chapters I read. I like how each "chapter" is a character's perspective. Each perspective is essentially its own plot line and they are all intricately braided together.
I stopped reading this book not because it was a good book as I stated, but because of its "adult" qualities.
It is an HBO book and I have a PBS mind. I don't want to read things like this book and ...more
